San Miguel De Allende

San Miguel De Allende has no beaches or blue waters, is not easy to get to and sits at an altitude of 1,900 metres (6200 ft), yet its unique beauty has been attracting foreign artists and writers since the 1930’s. Founded in 1542 during the Spanish Conquest it is now a World Heritage Site and was voted the Best City In The World in 2013 by Conde Nast. San Miguel is renowned for it’s artistic life, striking Spanish colonial architecture and sophisticated culture and cuisine. Be forewarned, people who come for a visit often return for good!
